Sign up to attend America's Forum for Wildlife

The sound science and programs that protect our wildlife, air, and water are being quickly and drastically eliminated by the federal government—threatening the species and people we love.

Join the National Wildlife Federation and conservation partners from around the country for America’s Forum for Wildlife! During this virtual forum, you will hear updates and perspectives from America’s top experts on the state of federal conservation science and what’s at stake.

NAA will host a virtual symposium, White-Tailed Deer Management in Natural Areas: Exploring New Approaches to an Old Problem, on October 16, 2025, to convene leading scientists, land management practitioners, and wildlife professionals. Learn more.

The Trump Administration dismisses the Endangered Species List as ‘Hotel California.’ But there’s far more to the story

The Endangered Species Act has been a frequent target of the Trump administration. U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum recently compared the Endangered Species List to Hotel California, implying that once a species is added to the list, it's never removed.

Natural Areas Association (NAA) has shared delisting and proposed delisting announcements about plants over the years. Here are just a few examples.
