National Academies will review endangerment finding science

The nation’s premier group of scientific advisers announced that it will conduct an independent, fast-track review of the latest climate science. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will focus on the Trump administration’s planned repeal of the government’s  determination that greenhouse gas emissions harm human health and the environment.

 

Governor Kehoe signs Missouri Invasive Plant Bill into law

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe signed Senate Bill 105 into law, which halts the sale of six invasive plant species, including Sericea lespedeza (Lespedeza cuneata), Burning bush (Euonymus alatus), Callery pear (Pyrus calleryana), Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), Beefsteak plant (Perilla frutescens) and Wintercreeper (Euonymus fortunei). 

 

USDA opens public comment period on department reorganization plan

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced the opening of a 30-day public comment period for stakeholders to provide feedback on the Department’s reorganization plan, as outlined in the Secretary’s memorandum, which was issued on July 24, 2025.
