2021 Natural Areas Conference:

A One-Day Virtual Event

Life from the Ashes will explore the positive and negative impacts of prescribed and natural fire related to insects and other invertebrates in landscapes across North America. The symposium will provide research and practical insights to inform natural areas professionals as they manage landscapes with fire.

Six Stewardship Shorts will be included in the Virtual Conference agenda, and will play in between live virtual sessions. All Stewardship Shorts will be made available for on-demand viewing on the conference website during and after the event. Check out the Stewardship Shorts Guidelines for more details.

 

STEWARDSHIP SHORTS are:

• Brief 3 to 5 minute, pre-recorded video presentations that describe a project, methodology, best practice or challenge related to a natural area(s) and can focus on any area of conservation ecology.
• An opportunity to share your work so that you can become a resource to your colleagues, and they can become a resource to you. 
• Short vlog experiences that last no more than five minutes. Recording the video in the field is highly encouraged.  

STEWARDSHIP SHORTS MUST BE UPLOADED BY MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2021.
